He is from China. He loves Kyoto, so he chose and practiced both 京（Kyo）and 都（To）characters. He took our calligraphy class because he isn’t good at writing. That’s great aspiration. She is Hong Kong Chinese and can write Kanji but she have been interested in Japanese calligraphy, so enjoyed our class. She practiced sweep stroke several times and mastered it.
